May12, 2008, a severe earthquake occurred at 14:28 in Sichuan province of China. The second day, one of Microsoft employees in China sent Bill Gates an email telling about the earthquake. Bill responded quickly: My foundation is giving 10M RMB which will be announced the next day.
According to Rich Dad, one of the really great things about being rich is the ability to help others. My 8-year-old Patrick even knows that rich people give money away. It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to donate the money to a cause or group that will help make the world a better place. Just like what David Bach said in his book “Automatic Millionaire”: Why is it that we pursue wealth? I think we do it not for the things money can bring us but in order to achieve a feeling. We may believe we want a nicer car, a million-dollar bank account, a large home, money for retirement or our children’s education, but ultimately what we really want is the feeling these things inspire in us.
I believe this is the truth of being wealthy. Once you have such an inspiring approach of being rich, you will truly attract abundance into your lives.
